What does Stage 1,2 or 3 tune mean?

Stage 1

Stage 1 software is a software re-calibration only. No additional parts are required.

Stage 2

Stage 2 software is re-calibrated to work with light engine modifications e.g Air Filter, exhaust, intercooler.

For petrol engines we would suggest a sports cat with a good quality cat back system to be MOT compliant. You can also use a de-cat and OPF delete pipe if you'd prefer something louder and a bit more power.

For diesel engines you can leave the DPF in place but there's no guarantee of it not blocking. Removing the DPF will make it illegal for road use, much like a de-cat.

No warranty can be given for this type of tune.

Stage 3

Stage 3 software is re-calibrated on the dyno for heavy engine modifications e.g Cold air intake, exhaust, intercooler, turbo upgrade, injectors and more.

This requires extensive data logs on the dyno and road to ensures to running healthy.

No warranty can be given for this type of tune.

There's never a set BHP or Torque figures for any stage 1, 2, 3 tunes. It always depends on the engine condition, type and manufacture of the aftermarket parts used.
