How do I transfer my Slave Tool?

Looking to move to a new tuning file provider but your tool is a Slave? Read here for a step by step guide on how to move your tool to us!

Before you get started!

Make sure you have signed up to our dealer portal. Signing up is free and can be done before you have any tools linked with us: https://jfautomotive.co.uk/dealers/tuning-file-service/

Important. Check with us first before transferring your tool. You maybe too close to one of our existing dealers for us to provide you with files.

What tools do we support?

We currently support two brands of slave tool. Alientech's Kess and K-Tag; and Magic Motorsport's Flex.

Releasing your slave.

The first step is to contact your current master and request for your tool to be released. This has to be done though your master as the tool manufacture will need permission in writing from them to release the tool.

When contacting them also include our include master tool serial number. This is so the tool manufacture can transfer you to our tool right away.

Our master tool serial numbers:

  • Flex: 5BD093ADD62A9800
  • K-Tag: L15070438
  • Kess2: K15064558
  • Kess3: 040083A02527

What if my tool has already been released?

If you tool is currently without a master you will just need to contact the tool manufacture direct  with the relevant master serial number from the list above.

What now?

Once your tool has been processed you are all good to go! You can start requesting slave files from the dealers section of our website: https://jfautomotive.co.uk/dealers/
