Elite flash is very easy to use, simply follow the steps provided.
Elite Flash Installation
-
Turn the ignition to position two, so the dashboard is switched on but the engine is not started.
-
Plug the Elite flash tool into the vehicles OBD port.
-
After the tool has beeped it will begin to upload the software to your transmission control unit. Do not unplug the tool,
or switch the ignition off. Doing either may result in your vehicles control units being damaged.
-
The tool will continuously beep to confirm the software has been uploaded, and programming is now complete.
-
Switch off the ignition and remove the key.
-
Unplug the Elite Flash tool from the OBD socket. Do not unplug the tool until the ignition has been switched off.
-
Start the vehicle and allow it to idle for 10 minutes. Do not touch the throttle during this period while the TCU and ECU
base adaptation takes place.
-
After the 10 minutes, you can now take the vehicle for a drive. Programming is fully complete.
It is important to allow the gearbox to adapt, and shift speeds will decrease as it learns. The transmission needs lots of very light load, and lots of gearshifts to adapt quickly. We recommend a smooth driving style in an urban environment. Pushing on your transmission in the adaptation period is strongly not advised!
The tool will lock to your vehicles chassis number as soon as it is connected. Plugging the tool into another vehicle may result in non recoverable damage to the control units of the other vehicle.
Elite Flash Removal
Should you wish to revert your TCU unit back to stock prior to sale of vehicle, you will need to have a FULL stock flash installed at a main dealer. They will re-flash the transmission with the latest genuine manufacture software.
